Police Gang Tyrannized Latinos, Indictment Says from the New York Times
Below is a link to the New York Times article reporting on an indictment brought against East Haven, Conn. police officers accused of discrimination and violations of civil liberties.
I am particularly fond of the on-point title of this article. Police can and do operate like gangs when they’re corrupt. The only difference is they’re sanctioned and protected by our government when they do so. I believe most officers are upholding their oath, however, I routinely come across unethical, unprofessional and immoral practices by officers in order to achieve an imagined “greater good.”
